Paloma – fresh cocktail with tequila and grapefruit

A Mexican favorite that's as simple as it is refreshing, the Paloma combines tequila, grapefruit, and lime in a bubbly and slightly bitter cocktail that's quickly become a modern classic.

Ingredients

  • 5 cl blanco tequila
  • 10 cl grapefruit soda (or freshly squeezed juice + soda water)
  • 1 cl freshly squeezed lime juice
  • A pinch of salt (optional)
  • Ice
  • Grapefruit slice for garnish

Approach

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.
  2. Pour in tequila and lime juice.
  3. Fill with grapefruit soda and stir gently.
  4. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
