🌲 Negroni with a Swedish twist
The classic Negroni gets a Nordic upgrade with juniper-dominant gin and an herbaceous Swedish bitter. The result is a drink with a distinct character – bitter, spicy and perfect as an aperitif.
Ingredients
- 3 cl Swedish gin (preferably with juniper or lingonberry notes)
- 3 cl red vermouth
- 3 cl Swedish bitter or alternative to Campari (e.g. Kallsup or Björkbitter)
- Ice
- Orange zest or dried citrus slice for garnish
Approach
- Pour all ingredients into a tumbler with ice.
- Stir for about 20 seconds until the drink is thoroughly chilled.
- Strain into a low glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with orange zest and preferably a birch leaf for a visual Nordic feel.
