🍋 Caipirinha – healthy Brazilian cocktail with lime and cachaça

A simple yet powerful drink that is Brazil's national pride, the Caipirinha combines lime, sugar and cachaça (Brazilian sugarcane spirit), fresh, tart and perfect for warm evenings.

Ingredients

  • 5 cl cachaça
  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)
  • 2 tsp cane sugar
  • Ice (preferably crushed)

Approach

  1. Place lime wedges and sugar in a lowball glass.
  2. Gently muddle to squeeze out the lime juice.
  3. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  4. Pour over the cachaça and stir.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge.
